Asbestos Inspection
Prior to renovation, demolition or property transaction, asbestos inspections are often required. The inspections include review of building plans/specifications, developing a sampling strategy, and collecting bulk samples. Bulk samples are analyzed utilizing a polarized light microscope (PLM) to determine the presence of asbestos. Materials containing greater than one percent asbestos are considered asbestos-containing. Survey results are tabulated in a format allowing the building owner to take a proactive approach to managing the asbestos.
